Staff report

Star Wars fans of all ages are invited to “Star Wars Fest 2025: Rise of a Thousand Vaders,” which promises a dive into the Star Wars universe.

The free event at the Loma Colorado Main Library is set for Saturday, April 26, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. More than 1,000 people turned out for Star Wars Fest last year.

This year, attendees can meet characters from the 501st and Rebel Legions, test their skills at Sith Training Camp, and enjoy storytelling by Harriet Cole. A Rebel scavenger hunt and free snacks from the Cantina will also be available.

Photo opportunities and hourly raffles are planned. Craft activities include lightsaber making, Ewok hats, galaxies in a jar and Yoda bookmarks. Costumes are encouraged but not required.

The Loma Colorado Main Library will be open from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. for the event and anticipates higher traffic and noise levels.
