New Mexico-based burger chain Laguna Burger has expanded to Rio Rancho, making it the chain’s fifth location.
The 3,000-square-foot space, located at 2401 Rio Rancho Blvd., includes seating for 105 and is located in the same complex as Latitudes Market and Convenience Store. Mac’s Steak In the Rough previously occupied the space.
Rio Rancho will be the second permanent Laguna Burger location outside of the Laguna Pueblo, alongside an Albuquerque location in Avanyu Plaza near the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center.
In a statement, Jorge Brasil, managing partner of Laguna Burger’s parent company Fuego Enterprises, said the company looks forward to working with Latitudes.
“We are excited to bring the Laguna Burger to Rio Rancho and become part of one of New Mexico’s fastest-growing communities,” Brasil said. “We look forward to partnering with our friends at Latitudes to create a one-stop spot for lunch, or dinner, gas or groceries.”
Construction on the location began earlier this year.
In addition to its four permanent locations in Albuquerque, Laguna and Route 66 Casino Hotel, Laguna Burger can be found in The Pit during University of New Mexico Basketball games and the chain has a food truck. For the food truck weekly schedule of locations, visit thelagunaburger.com.
The Rio Rancho location is expected to open on April 18.
