The music of string quartets will fill the air at the February 11 concert at Las Placitas
Presbyterian Church.

The program was chosen by cellist, James Holland and violinist, Megan Holland. The Hollands will be joined by violinist David Felberg and violist Kim Fredenburgh, all of whom have been frequent participants in PAS concerts.

The program includes: Edvard Grieg – String Quartet No. 1 in G Minor, Op. 27;
Joaquín Turina – “La Oración del Torero” (“The Bullfighter’s Prayer”), Op. 34; and Ludwig van Beethoven – String Quartet No. 9 in C Major, Op. 59, No. 3, the third of the “Razumovsky” quartets.

Concertgoers are encouraged to come early for a 2:00 p.m. monthly artists reception in the
Fellowship Hall at the church, 7 Paseo De San Antonio Rd. On exhibit will be the works of Janet Bothne, acrylic & mixed painting; Karl Hofmann, linocut prints; Katherine Irish, pastel painting; and Carol Allen, jewelry & clothing.

Placitas Artists Series has also issued a call for visual artists. This includes painting, photography, tapestry, as well as sculpture, jewelry, clay, and glass.

The exhibit is open to the public during church gallery hours, Tuesday-Friday, 9:00-1:00 and by appointment, leesmall0@gmail.com. Artists are on exhibit from January 13 through March 8. All artwork on display is available for purchase.

Tickets can be purchased at PlacitasArts.org, where the concert program, musician
bios, and more is available. K-12 students accompanied by an adult ticket holder may attend free.
