Toddler Storytime
Bring your tot in for story time at the Martha Liebert Public Library! Take this opportunity to hear stories, read out loud, enjoy snacks in-between, and then end with a craft for you to take home! Not a toddler but just want a story? No worries! All children are welcome and encouraged to enjoy the morning fun. The story times are every Tuesday at 10 a.m.
Sound Bath
Looking for a way to start the New Year off in a peaceful way? Take this opportunity to experience the musical meditation, Sound Bath. The event is held at the La Estrella Event Center in Placitas from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The event is hosted by Toby Karlin and Kyle Hollingsworth. The duo uses a variety of traditional instruments including singing bowls, chimes, didgeridoo, and more to create a meditative experience like no other. Support Group for Caregivers
Support groups create a safe, confidential, and supportive environment. The Alzheimer’s Support Group for Caregivers is led by Craig Coleman, Project Manager of the Alzheimer’s Association, New Mexico Chapter. The caregiver support group will meet the first Wednesday of every month from 9:30AM-11AM and will be held at the Loma Colorado Main Library. This support group is only for folks 18 years of age or older.
Knit Clique
Is your New Year’s resolution to learn a new skill. Don’t worry we have the thing for you. Grab some knitting needles and crochet hooks, and join the Knit Clique! Whether you’re a beginner or just need encouragement to finish that afghan, there’s a place for you in the Clique. All skill levels are welcome, bring your own supplies. The Knit Clique is held at the Loma Colorado Main Library and is hosted every Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. This is an 18 year and older event.
