Sandoval County is again partnering with local organizations to offer free and safe rides for St. Patrick’s Day celebrations. The “Take a Ride on Us” program provides residents in Sandoval, Bernalillo and Santa Fe counties a reliable alternative to driving under the influence.

Beginning March 14 at 10 a.m. and running through March 18 at 2 a.m., residents can open the Uber app, enter the code NMGREEN25 under the “Vouchers” section, and receive up to $10 off two rides.

The offer is available for up to 2,000 trips on a first-come, first-served basis. The discount applies only to Uber rides and does not cover Uber Eats or driver tips.

The “Take a Ride on Us” program is a public-private partnership created by Cumulus Media Albuquerque and supported by Bernalillo County, Sandoval County, Santa Fe County, Glasheen Valles & Inderman Injury Lawyers, Sandia Resort & Casino, and the New Mexico Department of Transportation.

According to a press release, the program has provided more than 61,000 safe rides in the Albuquerque Metro area since launching in 2017, helping to reduce impaired driving and keep roads safe during holidays and special events.
